Many years ago I received a guide's discount on a fly rod from Scott after my favorite Scott rod broke. This was prior to the life-time replacement offers. I was greatly pleased. I own both a Winston rod and a Sage rod, and yet I keep returning to my favorite rod, a Scott. This endorsement has not been solicited or paid for in any manner. I just like Scott rods!
